Wonderful Wednesday

Good Morning!

The end is getting near.  Tomorrow is our last day together.  The year has gone by so fast, but I’m excited for summer just like many of you are.  I am hopeful the warm weather will come soon too.

Today we have a lot of things happening.  This morning we will clean our desks.  When we come back from Art we will clean our lockers and book boxes.  This afternoon we have a music assembly for just third grade in the library.  After that we will have the top dog assembly.

Tomorrow is field day.  We will be watching Frozen in the morning and heading to the park for hot dogs and games for the afternoon.  It is supposed to only be 50 degree out tomorrow so if you wear shorts and a tshirt you will probably be very cold outside all afternoon!

Phineas and Ferb always remind me of summer.  Take some time to watch some of their best songs this morning.

Terrific Tuesday

Good Morning!

Today will be your last day of P.E. and Music.  When you come back from specials I will be in a meeting.  You will have a sub for a little bit after specials while I am in a meeting.  Please work hard on your rock books while I am gone.  This afternoon I will give you some more time to work on your books, but they will be graded after school today.

This afternoon we will take a measurement math test.  I’ll check to see what you know about time, inches, liters, and grams.  Good luck- it’s the last test of the year!

Please remember to bring a backpack tomorrow so you can take things home with you.

What are you looking forward to this summer?  It sure doesn’t feel like summer yet.

Monday Morning

Good Morning!

Welcome to our last week of school.  It has been a fantastic school year and I hope we can end with a great week.

There are some fun activities happening this week.  On Wednesday please be sure to bring a backpack because we will be cleaning out desks.  Wednesday afternoon we will be going to a concert in the Library and also to the Top Dog assembly.  On Thursday we will watch Frozen in the morning and then have field day at the park in the afternoon.  I can’t believe we only have 4 days left together!

Please check this morning to see if your fruit and vegetable presentations are saved in your folder.  You will get to choose one to present to the class later this morning.

Yesterday was mother’s day.  Did you do anything to celebrate?  Listen to what kid president has to say about moms and then come to the circle.

Final Friday

Good Morning!

Today is our last Friday of 3rd grade.  Next week we only have school Monday through Thursday.  On Thursday we will have Field Day and watch the movie Frozen.  We also have top dog assembly next week.  I have not picked our top dog yet so I am looking today for my choice.

This afternoon we have a bike safety assembly at 2:15.  We also have garden night tonight from 5-7 please bring your family and come have supper here!

Today is your last day to work on your fruit and vegetable presentation.  Make sure you move your presentations into your folder so that I can grade them and put your scores on your report card.

Thursday

Good Morning!

This morning we will be reading Andrew’s Loose Tooth and learning about tooth traditions around the world.  What do you do with your teeth when you lose them?

You have today and tomorrow to finish your projects.  Please work quickly and quietly.  I am ready to learn about fruits and vegetables next week.

Welcome to Wednesday

Good Morning!

We are halfway through our week.  You are getting closer and closer to being a 4th grader.  Please do not forget our five classroom rules as we go through our last few days together.  I still expect your best behavior.

We have a bike safety assembly at the end of our day today at 2:15.  Please also remind your parents about garden night on Friday.

If you are still struggling with creating your presentation watch this video.  Make sure you are using some research and not just things you think you know.  Keep working hard this has been a big project!

 

Today is Tuesday

Good Morning!

This morning you can work on your fruit and vegetable projects.  At 9:30 we will head outside for the school picture.  Please listen to directions on where you need to go.  It is hard to get 500 people ready for a picture!

Please make sure you are adding words to your presentation and not just working on the animations.  It is important that we learn something from these presentations.

Good Morning!

Counting today we have 9 days of school left.  It sure has not felt like summer yet to me.  I have recess duty this week so I am hopeful that we have some warmer weather.
We have several things on our calendar this week.
Tuesday morning we have an all school picture.
Friday afternoon we have a bike safety assembly.
Friday night we have Garden Night from 5-7 at school.

I am excited to read Robert Munsch’s books this week!  He is such a funny and creative writer.

You have 5 days to finish your fruit and vegetable projects.  We will present them to each other next week.

Fearless Friday

Good Morning!

I hope you had a good week!  We only have two weeks left together.  I am excited for summer, but I will be sad to see you move onto 4th grade.  I am proud of the hard work you have done this year.  Do you feel like you have learned a lot?

This morning we will learn about Robert Munsch who we will be studying for the last two weeks.  He is one of my very favorite authors.

At 9:45 we have an assembly about Australia.  I hope you remember that it is one of our seven continents!

Good luck with your research this morning.  I am getting more and more excited to see your final presentations!

Thrilling Thursday

Good Morning!

You have until 8:20 to work on your presentation.  The school picture that was scheduled for today got rescheduled because we need some sun to make the picture nice and bright!

Tomorrow morning we have an assembly about Australia.  The first part is from 9:45-10:45 and the second part is from 1:00-1:30.  This means you will miss some of PE and Music today.
